Progress, but not quite there yet..

Stuff is happening, although here I am the day before Thanksgiving and I have no running water in the kitchen and only a microwave with which to cook.  The plumber is supposed to be able to take care of all this, and he is expected to come today.  He doesn't know when, but told our contractor he would be by for sure. Just a little stressful.  Here are some pictures that show the granite, cooktop, beadboard backsplash, and the glass message board from IKEA that I decided to use as a backsplash over the cooktop area.

 Of course, my throat is killing me and my head is throbbing - I am getting sick, but there is way too much to do instead of laying down and taking it easy. The house looks like a bomb hit it, and there is cardboard, papers, pots and pans, and other accumulated detrius all around the house that need to be put away. Fingers crossed that the plumber shows, and hopefully he'll show up soon so I can try to get a handle on the mess.
